Birding Winter Wonderland

January 18, 2020
9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join Mike & MerryLynn Denny on a quest to find winter birds such as pine and evening grosbeak, common redpoll, ruffed grouse, goshawk, and owls. Weather permitting, the plan is to drive and walk in the foothills east of Walla Walla.

The all day trip will leave Whitman College's Harper Joy Theater parking lot at 9 am and return around 3 pm. Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Bring binoculars, a hot drink and lunch. Participants must be able to walk a mile on gravel road, which may be snow-covered, but often out of the fog and into the winter sunshine!

This event is hosted by the Blue Mountain Audubon Society.
